March Imports in the Federation of BiH are almost twice as large as Exports

The trade deficit of the Federation of BiH in March amounted to 864,604,000 BAM, and the coverage of imports by exports was 50.9 percent, the Federal Bureau of Statistics announced.

FBiH’s March exports amounted to 894,975,000 BAM, which is 11.1 percent less than in the same month last year, and 1.3 percent less than in February, while imports amounted to 1,759,580,000 BAM or 2.7 percent less. than in March 2023, and by 5.2 percent more than in February.

The highest value of exports and imports of 826,918,000 BAM, or 1,631,343,000 BAM, was achieved in the processing industry, which is 92.4 percent of total exports or 92.7 percent of total imports.

Most was exported to Germany or 17.6 percent of total exports, then to Croatia 15.4 percent, and Austria 10.9 percent, while the most was imported from Italy – 14.4 percent of total imports, then from Germany 12.4 percent, and China’s 9.8 percent of total imports.
