Matviyenko to address only the Parliament of BiH and the NARS

Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko will address delegates and representatives of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the National Assembly of the RS today and tomorrow. As it seems, Matviyenko avoided to address delegates in the Parliament of the FBiH.

At today’s 38th session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, delegates will be addressed by the Chairwoman of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko. She is a politician close to Vladimir Putin and also known as the most powerful woman in Russia.

It remains unknown why Matviyenko will not address delegates in the Parliament of the FBiH. Namely, there is no official activities regarding the visit of this Russian official announced on the official websites of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH.

If Matviyenko avoided to adress delegates in the Parliament of the FBiH, it is questionable why it is important for this politician so close to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to address representatives of the legislative power of the RS, but not representatives of the legislative power of the FBiH.

Valentina Matviyenko works as the Chairwoman of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation since September 2011. Before this function, Matviyenko served as the Governor of St. Petersburg, and she also worked as Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. She is a permanent member of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

The media consider her as a third person in the country, right after the President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
