Yesterday, January 9, which the Constitutional Court of BiH declared as unconstitutional as the Day of the RS, was marked in Banja Luka. Serbian officials like the President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic did not attend the marking ceremony in Banja Luka. The media in the country did not pay much attention to this event on their headlines this morning.

Daily newspaper in Serbia on Wednesday, January 10, wrote about current socio-political issues, mostly from that country. Therefore, Informer magazine does not have any news regarding January 9, on their front page.

Vecernje novosti published the statement of the President Milorad Dodik that “Serbia and the RS will be one” and that he will not give up on the referendum.

Daily newspaper Blic published the article entitled “the RS celebrated its birthday yesterday, Dodik awarded Tomislav Nikolic”. This newspaper also published information that “Hoyt will want to discipline Dodik and Bakir”.

Daily newspapers Alo and Informer have no information about the Day of the RS on their cover pages as well.

Srpski Telegraf also has no information on yesterday’s celebrations in Banja Luka.

Newspaper Danas dedicated most of its cover page to the case Savamala, without any information on the Day of the RS.

Dnevnik also has no information on the celebration of January 9.

Serbian daily newspapers Politika paid the largest attention to marking ceremony of the Day of RS.

Although the Constitutional Court of BiH assessed that marking of the Day of the RS on January 9, is unconstitutional, this day was marked with a series of celebratory manifestations, including religious ones.
