Medical experts have concluded that Atif Dudaković, who is accused of crimes in the territory of several Krajina municipalities, is not fit to stand trial due to health reasons.

“In this condition, he is not able to actively monitor and participate in the court proceedings, as well as adequately communicate with the defense attorney and create a defense,” said neuropsychiatrist Rusmir Softić.

Together with oncologist Hasan Osmić and cardiologist Larisa Dizdarević-Hudić, he presented the findings on the health condition of the accused Dudaković, who did not attend the hearing.

The Chairperson of the Council, Željka Marenić, left a deadline of seven days for the Prosecution and the Defense to express their opinion on the findings of the expert and present proposals.

Dudaković was accused in his capacity as commander of the Fifth Corps of the Army of BiH for crimes committed in the area of Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ, Bosanska Krupa and Sanski Most, including the murder of more than 300 people, persecutions and destruction of religious buildings. He is on trial with Sanel Šabić, Ibrahim Šiljedic, Safet Salihagić, Adis Zjakić, Redžep Zlojić, Samir Solaković, Fatmir Muratović, Muharem Alešević, Edin Domazet, Ejub Koženjić, Ibrahim Nadarević and Saido Mujić.

In this case, the trial was last held in September last year, reports BIRN BiH.
