At the Department of Gynecology of the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas ”, the medical team performed the third delivery of the coronavirus-positive patient.

The delivery, done in a natural way and not by cesarian as first two times,  was done according to current guidelines for COVID-19 positive pregnant women under spinal anesthesia.

The maternity ward of the General Hospital is functioning normally as before the pandemic, and the mother and baby are placed in the maternity room, planned for such cases.

The medical team that performed a cesarean section on a COVID-19-positive patient today was led by Prim. mr. sci. Dr. Aida Đurđević, Head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department.
