Meeting of commander of EUFOR and Ambassador of France in BiH

Ambassador of France in BiH Roland Gilles said today, during a meeting with the commander of EUFOR major general Dieter Heideceker, that France will continue to support EUFOR mission in BiH, and it is one of the countries that gives the most money for the mission.

Ambassador and commander of EUFOR congratulated French soldiers on their significant engagement, during 1992-1995 and after the war as a part of international forces.

Gilles said that the main goals of French politics are support for BiH sovereignty, support to the EU in helping BiH economy which includes the development of infrastructure and trade arrangements, and helping BiH to build its own permanent and efficient safety forces.

Talking about EUFOR’s priorities, Heidecker said that EUFOR will continue to train the Armed Forces of BiH.
