Speaking to Jane Pauley on CBS Sunday Morning, Meghan Markle opened up about the bullying she endured and revealed that she had thoughts of suicide.
She admitted that she had not fully disclosed her experiences, but expressed her desire to prevent others from suffering in silence.
“When you’ve endured pain or trauma, part of the healing process, for me certainly, involves being open about it. I would never want anyone else to feel like I did, to make those plans or not be trusted,” Markle added.
Markle hopes she can help others in a similar situation She hopes that by sharing her story, she can inspire others to seek help and encourage people to check on their loved ones, no matter how things look on the surface.
“If my voice can save someone or get someone to honestly check on a loved one, then it’s worth it. I just didn’t want to be alive anymore,” she admitted.
The former “Suits” actress shared how she felt overwhelmed by negative thoughts and struggled to find a solution. At first she was afraid to share her feelings with Harry, but she found comfort when she finally confided in him.
