A member of Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina of B.J initials jumped from the bridge into the Sava River at the Raca border crossing, after he finished his shift, but his colleagues managed to pull him out, the Bijeljina Police Administration confirmed yesterday late evening.

”The police in Bijeljina were informed tonight around 7:05 PM that B.J. after a shift at the Rača border crossing, climbed the old bridge on the Sava River, crossed to the other side of the fence, intending to jump and refuse any contact. Police officers were sent to the scene,” it was stated.

Before the police arrived at the scene, the border policeman jumped into the water, but his colleagues managed to pull him out. The ambulance of the Bijeljina Health Center went to the scene and transported the police officer to the General Hospital in Bijeljina.
