Member of BiH Presidency sends Congratulatory Message on BiH Statehood Day

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović extended today a message of congratulations to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of 25 November, the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina was restored at the historic First Session of the ZAVNOBIH in Mrkonjić-Grad, on 25 November 1943, and our country was defined as a state that equally belongs to all its peoples and citizens.

By restoring the statehood and confirming its multi-ethnic character, the foundation had been laid on which today’s internationally recognized and independent Bosnia and Herzegovina was built.

In spite of waves of resistance from numerous sides, our country is on the path to strengthening its internal and external sovereignty, through the process of reintegration and strengthening of institutions, and the process of integration into the European Union and NATO, as a framework for a prosperous and secure future.

It is up to us to contribute to the continuation of these processes, because through them, we are making Bosnia and Herzegovina stronger, as an integral and democratic state, in which every citizen has fully equality,” wrote Džaferović in his greetings, Federal News Agency reports.
