Member of the AF of B&H Elvis Hodžić saved the Boy in the Drina River by risking his own Life

soldierMember of the Armed Forces of B&H from the barracks “Kosovo” near Ustikolina, Elvis Hodžić, saved a drowning boy from the Drina River by risking his own life.

After he saw a drowning person in the Drina River, soldier Elvis Hodžić, risking his own life, jumped into the river, got a drowning person out from the water and by swimming with only one hand managed to get to the shore.

He provided the necessary CPR and first aid and called for an ambulance, which transported a drowning person, a boy Elmin Papračanin, to the hospital in Goražde.

Soldier Elvis Hodžić is 22 years old and works as a driver in the barracks “Kosovo”, and his brave gesture showed the level of training of the Armed Forces of B&H, which are teaching their soldier how to save a drowning person within their military trainings.

Modest member of the AF of B&H from the barracks “Kosovo” near Ustikolina, has already returned to his regular duties in the service, not emphasizing his act of heroism.
