Member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic sent a message on the occasion of the upcoming Orthodox Christmas and stated that we all should be better, we should refrain from conflict and show much more tolerance and love.

“Christmas is a holiday that promotes two key values – love and peace, which we need in these times more than ever. Love, in order to understand others and different, and peace, in order to move forward together,” stated Ivanic at the reception held on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas.

He also added that the time that we live in is difficult and that people are always asking when it will be better, and noted patriarch Paul’s answer on a similar question: “It will be better when we are better!”

He noted that Christmas to everyone, and especially those who present and lead other people, sends a strong and universal message, but also a warning, that love is shown through the act of service, and that the one who is serving people is in peace with people.

He congratulated this holiday to all Orthodox Serbs in the RS, BiH and world with the traditional greeting “Merry Christmas!”

The Christmas reception was attended by numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as the political, cultural and religious life of BiH.
