The richness and beauty of diversity was demonstrated once again yesterday in Tuzla, where a traditional Orthodox Christmas celebration was held on the Square of Freedom.

With mulled wine and cakes, numerous Tuzla residents of all denominations celebrated the most joyous holiday yesterday, and the gathering was further complemented by folk dances performed by members of the KUD (Cultural Arts Association) Bosna.

”Traditionally, every year we celebrate the Orthodox Christmas, and on this occasion, we organized the distribution of cakes, wine, and certain snacks that are characteristic to citizens who do not celebrate this holiday. In this way, we want everyone to feel the joy of our holiday,” Pelka Jovicic stated a member of the Youth Organization ”Obnova”.

This organization implements projects aimed at preserving the Orthodox tradition, which is important for the local community and works with young people.

In yesterday’s event, young people also received support from the Tuzla Tourist Board, as part of the Winter in Tuzla event.

Winter in Tuzla will officially end today, and in the past 31 days the event, which was accompanied by rich program content, was preliminarily visited by more than 60 thousand people, Klix.ba reports.
