BiH Minister of Security meets with the Ambassador of France to BiH

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, met today with the Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christine Toudic whom she informed about key security challenges and priorities in future work.

He emphasized that one of the most important goals is to strengthen bilateral cooperation and relations with countries in the region and the EU.

In that segment, France is recognized as an extremely important partner, especially in the transfer of knowledge and experience in the field of meeting European obligations and standards in the field of security.

Also, the expectation was expressed that the previous successful cooperation and support in the fight against human trafficking, suppression of illegal arms trade and other forms of organized crime will continue.

Minister Nešić pointed out that he will have a zero tolerance rate towards crime and corruption in his work, stressing that these are the key things that make citizens feel insecure and hopeless.

Also, the fight against illegal migration was discussed, and Minister Nešić pointed out the need to strengthen capacities and purchase equipment for police agencies in order to better protect borders.

Ambassador Toudic announced the continuation of France’s support in this area, and the possibility of joint cooperation through projects funded by the EU.

Nešić also thanked France for its support in the specialist training of rescuers in BiH, whose knowledge and experience are currently proving to be very useful and important for saving human lives – the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
