Members of BiH Presidency to speak with WHO Director General

Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will talk today with Tedros Adhan Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), regarding the delivery of vaccines against coronavirus in BiH.

BiH Presidency Member Sefik Dzaferovic said it was one of the issues they raised because they understood the developments.

“We have decided that we, as the Presidency, react even though it is not the job of the Presidency. As a product of that meeting, numerous meetings will follow or have followed. We expect this matter to be clarified. We paid for vaccines, we want vaccines to come to BiH and, of course, regardless of the COVAX mechanism, we have to get vaccines wherever we go, but it must be transparent and open, the citizens of this country must know because every dose of vaccine is paid,” said Dzaferovic.

Presidency Member Zeljko Komsic said that the video meeting would be an opportunity to clarify misunderstandings with COVAX, the World Health Organization and Pfizer as a firm.
