Divović Memorial Revealed nap.baA memorial to the seven-year-old boy Nermin Divović from Sarajevo who was killed by a Serb sharpshooter in 1994 was officially revealed yesterday by a group of little children from the Primary School Fatima Gunić from Sarajevo.

Memorial, placed in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo in the vicinity of the place where Nermin was killed, will testify to the largest crime in the history of existence of Sarajevo.

Nermin was killed by a sniper shot from aggressor positions in the building “Metalka” when he was only seven years old, while his mother was seriously wounded with the same bullet.

The Serb sharpshooter fired at the boy and his mother on November 18 while they were crossing the street between the National Museum and the Faculty of Philosophy. Photo of the killed Nermin went around the world.

Memorial to the boy was placed thanks to the efforts of the non-governmental organization AntiDayton Group.

The opening was attended by numerous citizens of Sarajevo.
