Meta: We will remove any Content that glorifies the Murderer or the Crime in BiH

The company Meta, the owner of the social network application Instagram, on which Nermin Sulejmanovic shot his partner on live video on Friday, has announced that it will remove any content that glorifies the perpetrator or the murder in Gradacac.

“We are deeply saddened by the terrible attack in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. We are in contact with the authorities in BiH to help support their investigations,” Meta’s spokesperson stated.

They point out that the horrible videos and the accounts on Instagram that shared them were deleted immediately after they marked that content as “violence with multiple victims”. They state that they have different versions of that content in the database that violates their rules so that they can react more efficiently in the future.

“This helps us detect and automatically remove duplicates if they are re-uploaded to Instagram,” they explained.

In addition, all persons who glorify this crime or the murderer will also be sanctioned by Meta.

“We will remove any content that glorifies the perpetrator or the attack whenever we become aware of it,” they concluded, Klix.ba reports.
