MIA of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton gets 40 new Vehicles

13474108_1209035079147446_1028850139_nOfficial ceremony of handing over keys of 36 new vehicles, out of 40 vehicles in total which are foreseen in the second stage of the project of the renewal of the vehicle fleet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton was held today in Mostar, at the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of this canton.

Three years ago, Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton reached a decision to renew the vehicle fleet of the MIA of this canton with 100 new vehicles. The project was divided into three stages. The first stage was implemented in 2014 when 29 new vehicles were handed over. The second stage was implemented today, when keys of 26 new vehicles were handed over to police officers.

The remaining 14 vehicles which are foreseen in this stage will be handed over to the MIA of this canton next week.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Slađan Bevanda, the third stage of delivery of 31 vehicles should be implemented by the end of this year or in the first half of next year. That would be the completion of this project of the procurement of 100 new vehicles for the MIA of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

At today’s ceremony, Minister Bevanda thanked the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton for selfless support in the renewal of material-technical means of this ministry, adding that project of renewal of one part of weapons in the MIA of this canton will also be implemented this year.

Value of the second stage of the project is nearly 1.800.000 BAM.
