rudnik viscaThe documentation for the new pit “Višća” at the mine spot “Đurđevik” is prepared in order for the replacement capacity to be performed because in about 15 years the exploitation of the mine “Đurđevik” will probably be underground.

The coal reserves that will be exploited exceeds 10 million tons and along with “Kakanj” the pit “Višća” is among the first whose opening preparation started in the postwar period. The solution is based on the rational use of the coal reserves.

The conceptual solution enabled the upcoming tasks of the pit opening to go faster, because it was not necessary to do a feasibility study for detailed research coal seam and coal deposits.  The “Đurđevik” stated that they will only need to do an economic study and to require the main project.

Due to the specific coal seam in Đurđevik and Višćo equipments that are available in some mines of Germany and Poland will be used.
