Today, the salary for December last year and one of the two unpaid allowances for a hot meal was paid to the Zenica miners’ account, while they have not been paid the holiday allowance for the last year, it was confirmed to Fena by the president of the Trade Union Elvedin Alić .

Although they did not meet all the required conditions, which is why they refused to go down into the pits on Monday, January 23, in the first shift, they will probably start working in less than an hour.

“We are waiting for a decision from the top, that is, from the president of the Union of Mining Workers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sinan Husić. We will act according to the decision of the Union, but I believe that today we will start work in the second shift,” Alić said.

Director Mensur Hukić says that he is convinced that the miners of the second shift will go down into both pits – “Stara jama” and “Raspotočje”.

“Most of the miners in ‘Raspotočje’ went down into the pit already in the first shift, and I hope that in the second shift everyone who needs to be at work. Sinan Husić’s position is also to continue working,” Hukić stressed.
