Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H Zlatko Lagumdžija Met with the Minister of International Cooperation and Development of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Lubna Al Qasimi

lagumdzija_uaeThe Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H Zlatko Lagumdžija met with the Minister of International cooperation and development of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Lubna Al Qasimi, on first November 2013 in Sarajevo.

Lagumdžija expressed the satisfaction for the visit of the Minister Al Qasimi to B&H and stressed that with the same pleasure will receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan Abdullah in March 2014. He stated that these visits show that B&H has true friends in the UAE.

Lagumdzija expressed his satisfaction about the activities of the institutions and funds from the UAE which started after his visit to the UAE in March 2013. Especially for the interest shown by “Abu Dhabi Development Fund” to invest in projects such as the European Corridor 5C , power plant Kakanj – the construction of thermal power plant 8 and Tuzla power plant – construction thermal power plant 7 and interests of “Abu Dhabi investment Fund” to finance in capital projects in B&H.

During the discussion was emphasized the need for further strengthening of bilateral meetings, and especially businessmen meetings and the possibility of creating a free-trade zone in B&H (DP World Company ) and the establishment of a direct airline between Dubai and Sarajevo are discussed.
