Minister Osmić at North Atlantic Council Meeting of NATO

zekerijah-osmic-1The BIH Minister of Defense and Security Zekerijah Osmić will participate at the meeting of the North Atlantic Council of NATO with ministries of defense of countries participating in the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan that are a not member of NATO, and which will be held tomorrow in Brussels.

It is expected that at the meeting they will speak about the progress of the Mission in Afghanistan, with a special emphasis on the transfer of security responsibilities and the planning of new training missions to Afghanistan forces, as well as providing advice and support after 2014.

The ministries of defense of NATO members will meet with the ministries of defense of 22 countries that are participating in the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan, but which are not members of NATO.

The meeting will be chaired by the Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and it is expected that the meeting will be attended by the Afghanistan Minister of Defense Bismellah Mohammadi, high representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, and Jan Kubis, the special representatives of the UN Secretary General, announced the Press Office for the BIH Ministry of Defense.
