The Ministry of Interior of ZDC to get Brand New Modern Center for Education and Training

worksThe Ministry of the Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton should get a new building soon, where will be located center for training of police officers, the space for accommodation and work of the Special Police Unit and the Central Archives for the purpose of location for the issuance of identity documents.

Minister of the Interior of ZDC Nikola Arsenic last month signed a contract on the construction of the office building for the purposes of the MIA with the director of the company “Almy construction” in the value of 6,273,268 BAM, and funding will be made from the budget of Canton.

According to MIA ZDC, the new building, whose construction is in full swing, will also have a ground for tactical training with a tower for climbing, training ground with obstacles, shooting range, gym, pool designed for diving training, fitness room, rooms for the training of dogs, rooms for horses and many other facilities intended for education and psycho-physical training of police officers.

“Construction of the center will result in improvement of the level of training of police officers, strengthening of police capacity to combat organized crime and other serious forms of crime, strengthening the ability of police officers to oppose all forms of disturbing the peace on a larger scale and strengthening their readiness to successfully perform the most complex police tasks, increase training of members of the police force for search, rescue and relief during natural disasters. Special police unit that is currently located in very bad conditions, will finally get the proper conditions for their accommodation and work with the construction of the center,” said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of the Interior of ZDC, Aldina Ahmic.

The signing of the said agreement is a continuation of an ongoing commitment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, which are doing everything for equipping of the police and other officers and their education with the aim of efficient performance of tasks and duties of this Ministry.

Activities aimed at creating the best possible material and technical conditions for the successful execution of the constitutional and legal obligations of the ministries will be continued in the future.

If the works are running on track, the new building should be operational by the end of December 2017.
