”Another 25 members of the veteran population received apartments, ” it was announced by the Ministry for Veterans’ Affairs of Canton Sarajevo (CS), as the Protocol and Press Service of CS reported.

Line Minister Omer Osmanovic signed the pre-contracts yesterday and solemnly awarded the apartments, making these people officially the users of those apartments.

With yesterday‘s award ceremony, the end of this year’s realization of a large capital strategic project of the Ministry of Veterans ‘Affairs is near – that is, providing permanent housing to all those who have the right to do so under the laws on veterans’ protection.

”We have given ourselves the task to try to abolish the so-called waiting list for the allocation of an apartment, on which we found 198 people. As we promised, with today’s allocation, we provided apartments for 67 members of the veteran population. By the end of the year, we will give another 17 apartments; the public invitation has ended and we are waiting for the completion of the remaining procedures. So, 84 users will get apartments in this way this year, ” told Minister Osmanovicyesterday.

”That activity is actually correcting injustice because some members of the veteran population have been waiting for their apartments since 2008 or 2009, ” the minister added.

14 war invalids, ten wives of martyrs-killed fighters, as well as one mother of martyrs-killed fighter took over the pre-contracts yesterday.

Senada Tvrtkovic is among the new owners, who emphasizedhow much the apartment means to her and her children.

”I waited a long time and finally waited to enter my apartment. It is a special feeling to finally have your home after many years of temporary accommodation, ” she explained.
