Regarding the current situation in the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the resignation of Director Darko Ćulum, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has issued a statement.

“We inform the public that the functioning of SIPA has not been disrupted and that the Agency continues to operate in accordance with legal procedures and jurisdiction,” the Ministry of Security of BiH stated.

They added that, together with the Council of Ministers of BiH, they are working intensively to resolve the newly created situation and elect a new leadership of SIPA.

The Council of Ministers of BiH must accept the resignation of Ćulum from this position, after which the Acting Minister of Security of BiH Ivica Bošnjak will propose a person to lead SIPA, which must be confirmed by the Council of Ministers of BiH.
