Numerous Fires recorded in BiH, Firefighters still on the Ground near Konjic

In the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, several fires have been recorded in the open air, in landfills and at waste sites in the past 24 hours, according to the regular report of the Croatian National Council’s Civil Protection Operations Center.

In the Mostar area, firefighters extinguished three fires. Grass and low vegetation burned in Raštani and Vrapčići, while logs and waste burned in Buna.

The largest number of interventions was recorded in the Čapljina area. Firefighters provided assistance in the rehabilitation of the fire at the Ada city landfill, and during the day and night they intervened due to several fires of garbage, plant waste, grass and vegetation in Ada, Čeljevo, Jasenica, Višići and at two locations under the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Bridge.

In the Konjic area, a grass and low vegetation fire was extinguished in Čelebići, while the fire in Kanjina, which broke out during the night, is still active and fire crews are on the ground.

Two fires were recorded in the Čitluk area. In Bijakovići, forest, grass, and tall and low vegetation burned, and in Vidovići, grass and low vegetation burned.

Firefighters in Prozor-Rama extinguished a fire at a landfill in the village of Varvara, while in Neum they intervened due to two grass and low vegetation fires, on the Klek peninsula and in Ruđera Boškovića Street, Fena writes.
