All-day action of the Agency for Investigations and Protection by order of the State Prosecutor’s Office. More than 20 people were detained in the Black Tie 2 operation due to the possible connection between members of the police and drug cartels. Among them are a large number of current and former high-ranking members of the federal MUP. The extent to which there was a connection between the police and criminals will be shown by the continuation of the investigation. The interrogation of those detained is currently underway.

Organized crime, unauthorized trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs – these are just some of the crimes that high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions in BiH are suspected of. Several current and former members of the federal MUP were detained.

“Among those arrested are high-ranking officials of law enforcement agencies and institutions. Within the scope of the case, evidence was collected from encrypted applications. The activities are aimed at prosecuting persons suspected of organized crime, unauthorized trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs, money laundering and other related crimes,” said Boris Grubešić, spokesman for the BiH Prosecutor’s Office.

In the action codenamed Black Tie 2, the police also searched the premises of businessman Gordan Memija. By the way, he is the godfather of Edin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Minister Konaković commented on the action as follows.

“Both Memija and Konaković and all of them must be the subject of investigations, as I have already said, but it must not be made into entertainment for the public. I call on all institutions to do their work seriously. I warn everyone packing in this process that they will not have a good time”.

And, apart from Sarajevo, members of the SIPA and cantonal MUPs had their hands full in Mostar and Zenica. In Zenica, premises owned by Aida Halać, councilor of the BH initiative Kasumović Fuad in the Zenica City Council, were searched.

The action had its epilogue in the territory of the RS entity.

“Police officers of the Administration of the MUP ZDK provided assistance to SIPA members during searches at two locations, in the administrative building of the Cantonal Hospital and the A Fit fitness club owned by A.H. from Zenica,” explained Samir Valentić, spokesman for the Police Department of the MUP ZDK.

Whether there was a link between organized crime and the state, in this case high-ranking members of the police, will be shown by further investigation and possible indictments. In any case, this would further reduce the already damaged trust of citizens in the police. However, the minister assures.

“The Federal Police Administration must function, it must work and we will not allow the safety of the citizens of both the Federation and BiH to be threatened, I don’t know what is going on,” said Ramo Isak, Minister of Internal Affairs of the FBiH (Strength of the People).

The action was carried out by order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. And, in addition to the cantonal MUPs and SIPA, the international support of the FBI, DEA, and Europol was indispensable this time as well. And this time, crypto apps, among other SKY apps, were fatal for many. Let us remind you that some of the persons detained in today’s action are linked to cooperation with the drug cartel Tito and Dino.
