Mustafa ef. Colakovic, who is participating on behalf of the Islamic Community Mostar, said that this is his second year of participating in the Eid tournament and that it does not matter who will win, but a message that this meeting of representatives of religious communities on the city playground sends to the public.

“This is a beautiful gesture for the city of Mostar, with which we want to show that this city is not divided as it is believed. At this field are unified Orthodox, Catholic, and Islamic religion,” said Ivan Rajic. He congratulated Eid to everyone who celebrates it, adding that this event has a special symbol.

President of the Association ”Sinovi Mahale” Mostar, Dzevad Pasic, said that this is a traditional tournament that brings special atmosphere at the SRC Stadium every year.

This year, as he noted, participants of this event are the Islamic Community of Mostar, the Association Sinovi Mahale, the Franciscan Monastery in Mostar and the Eparchy of Zahumlje-Herzegovina.

“Our goal is to show the authorities of the city of Mostar that Mostar is a multiethnic city and that we all have to live together,” said Pasic.
