Mostar expresses Solidarity and Support for the Citizens of Aleppo

old-bridge-greenAs a sign of solidarity and support for the citizens of Aleppo, the Old Bridge in Mostar was lit up in green, the color that symbolizes peace, last night. The people of Mostar recalled the tragic fate of their own city, so in this way they showed solidarity with the citizens of that Syrian city and paid tribute to the innocent killed civilians.

This symbolic act is aimed at sending another appeal to the international community to react and help the citizens of Aleppo.

This is not the first time that Mostar, thanks to the Center for Peace and Multi-Ethnic Cooperation, expresses solidarity with people throughout the world. UNESCO’s protected monument Old Bridge, which is now an international symbol of peace and reconciliation, has already been lit up in colors of France and Turkey after terrorist attacks in Paris and Istanbul.
