Mostar Plenum Submitted the Requests to the President of Herzegovina – Neretva Canton Assembly

plenum-mostarRepresentatives of the Mostar Plenum of citizens submitted their requests to the President of the Assembly of Hezegovina -Neretva Canton Ramiz Jelovac. Some of the requests are the dismissal of the Cantonal Government and the abolition of politicians’ benefits.

Jelovac received the representatives of the Plenum in the destroyed building of the Cantonal Assembly, which was burned 10 days ago. He promised that the Assembly today or tomorrow will consider the requests and after that an extraordinary session of Herzegovina -Neretva Canton Assembly will be held.

During that time, thousands of protesters gathered on the street in front of the building of  Herzegovina -Neretva Canton Assembly, shouting “Resign, Resign!”.

In addition to the resignation of the government of Herzegovina -Neretva Canton, the Plenum seeks the abolition of politicians’ benefits and harmonization of their salaries to the average worker’s salaries, the adoption of the Law on Social Protection, protection of civilian war victims and families with children at the cantonal level, then asking for the official report of the Cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs on protests in Mostar and activities undertaken in the assessment of the security situation in the Herzegovina -Neretva Canton.
