Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho was seen at Istanbul airport today waiting for a flight to Portugal, after ending his cooperation with Fenerbahce.

The management of Turkish football giant Fenerbahce announced yesterday that it had ended its cooperation with Portuguese expert Jose Mourinho.

“Our journey with Jose Mourinho, who has been the coach of our A team since the 2024/2025 season, has come to an end. We thank him for his contribution to our team so far and wish him much success in his future career,” they said in a statement.

The move came two days after the Istanbul team was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League play-offs by Benfica.

Mourinho led Fenerbahce from the bench to a total of 62 matches, achieving 37 wins, 14 draws and 11 losses.
