Recreation for Seniors centar.baIn cooperation with the Public Institution Center for Sports and Recreation, the Municipality Centar continued with the implementation of the project Recreation of the Senior Citizens in the sports hall of FIS (Street Mis Irbina 10).

The recreation appointments are being held three times per week, on Monday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. and on Friday at 1 p.m., lasting for 45 minutes, it was announced from the Municipality.

According to the project leader Adis Musanovic, the project of aerobic activity for the elderly started on April 6th and will last until the end of this year.

”We made a break during July and August due to the heats, and now we continued. All elderly persons who live in the territory of the Municipality Centar and who have the doctor’s consent that they can engage in moderate aerobic recreation can apply”, said Musanovic.

The pensioners from the area of Municipality Centar can apply by arriving to an appointment at the premises of the Center for Sports and Recreation on the first floor, and all information is available on the phone number 033-268-760.

According to Musanovic, 40 persons participated in the first part of the project.

”This is another starting project and therefore we don’t have significant impressions so far, and we will have to wait for couple more years. Exercising, not only to the elderly, but to all generations from the earliest age until the end of the life, means a lot. When people enter late years, exercising is of great importance, and if they have practiced it during their lives, then this is just a continuation”, Musanovic emphasized.
