Representatives of the Office for residential affairs of the Municipality of Centar handed over solutions for refunding part of the cost of paid taxes on real estates, which represents a support for young people in the process of solving their residential status.

At a session that was held in July last year, the Municipal Council Centar adopted the Decision on the allocation of funds as a support to the residential status of young people through refunding part of the cost of paid taxes on real estates.

Their main aim is to support young people in the process of solving their residential status, and a total of 100,000 BAM were planned for this purpose. Based on the decision, young people up to 35 years of age that are residing in the Municipality Centar and who are  solving their residential status for the first time by buying an apartment in the Municipality Centar have the right to this type of assistance.

Almasa Ramovic from the Office for residential affairs of the Municipality stated that 14 young people received the amount of 2.000 BAM for part of the cost of paid taxes on real estates in the year of 2017.

One of the users of this kind of assistance is Maja Kurtagic.

“It was difficult to make a decision on buying an apartment, but there were some opportunities at the time when this public invitation was announced. In the sea of some greyness and large apathy among young people, this is very nice act and I see it as a huge reason for young people to stay, live, and create in our own country. These kinds of projects need be promoted in the media in order for the young people to get all the information about the opportunities that are offered to them,” said Kurtagic.

“This is really important help for young people. 2,000 BAM that we will get refunded will help us in the process of renovation and it also helped us in the decision to buy the apartment. I would like to thank the Mayor Nedzad Ajnadzic on this great assistance,” stated Darija Minic, one of the users.
