In the premises of the General Hospital Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas in Sarajevo was signed a protocol by which 40,000 BAM was donated to this institution from the budget of the Municipality Centar.

The Chairman of the Municipal Council Dr. Nedzad Ajnadzic, handed over the Protocol, which was previously signed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Centar Dzevad Becirevic, to the director of the General Hospital, Zlatko Kravic.

Ajnadzic expressed his wish for the funds to be spent in the best way possible.

“This donation proves that we are building BiH and the health care system, and we, as a responsible local community, have expressed interest in the state hospital to be credible, referent, strong and able to answer the basic requirements. That is a wish of our citizens as well. We will continue helping the General hospital in the future as well,” said Ajnadzic.

“The Municipality Centar is helping our institution in continuity and we are very grateful for that. The donated funds will be used for renovation of the so-called ‘dirty’ or septic hall, which is located on the ground floor. That will contribute to faster and better care for patients, since the donations are primarily intended for them. The mentioned hall receives patients with septic diseases and such patients should be treated at the entrance to the hospital so that the infection does not spread further into the hospital. We neutralize the source of infection there and the patient is sent for the further treatment,” said Kravic.

The last donation of Municipality Center is just one of many that this local community, led by the Mayor Becirovic, has implemented in recent years.

As emphasized by Mustafa Resic, advisor of the Mayor Becirevic, all donations are implemented primarily in order to provide better medical services for the patients.

“I believe that even after Mayor Becirevic, who had a lot of understanding for the needs of this high medical institution, the support for the health care system will be continued. We will assist projects that improve the quality of medical equipment and services in the upcoming period as well,” said Resic.

The ceremony of handing over the donation was attended by Velija Katica, the councilor of Municipal Council of the Municipality Centar, as announced from this municipality.
