Municipality Novi Grad to give Scholarships this year as well

studentsThe solemn ceremony of handling the contracts to the stipends of Novi Grad Sarajevo will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, in the multimedia hall of the Municipality, at 17:00 and 19:00 o’clock.

This year, Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo, will give scholarships to 552 successful pupils and students.

Eligibility for the scholarship for pupils is an average of 4.9 and 5, and for students average of at least 8, except that according to the Regulations on scholarships for students, the scholarship cannot be achieved by the candidates whose income per household exceeds 450 BAM.

Municipality insured 450 000 BAM for scholarships for 2016./17., of which 25,000 BAM is to be allocated to students who achieved top sports results. Part of the money will be awarded to students with specific needs and exceptionally gifted pupils and students for cultural and artistic and sports achievements.

For pupils up until 9th grade in elementary school, scholarship amounts to 50 BAM, for high school students it amounts to 75 BAM, and for students 100 BAM per month.

Alem Pivodić son of Muhidin Pivodića, a police officer who was killed on duty while guarding the church of St. Nicholas in Reljevu, is one of the students who will get the scholarship.
