Did you write a diary during the war? Do you remember why you did it? Do you remember the feeling of doing something important, of documenting your own perception of the world? Do you remember the desire for people to see your thoughts and feelings? Have you forgotten about your war diaries? Probably you think that nowadays no one is interested in what you were thinking in the period from 1992 until 1995? Perhaps you think that your writing is not worth showing and publishing because you are not a writer or a celebrity? You are wrong.
The Literature and Theatre Art Museum of BiH, in cooperation with the Memorial Complex Tunnel D-B, invites all citizens to bring in their war diaries from the period from 1992 until 1995.
“We kindly invite all those interested to bring to the Museum their war diaries or diaries of their relatives from personal archives. The Museum invites you to contribute to the establishment of a museum collection ‘War Diaries’. If you decide to cooperate with us, we take it as our responsibility to make your authentic testimonies, regardless of how personal and unimportant they might seem to you, a part of cultural heritage of our country. Your recordings will be kept safe and will serve as museum holdings.
Help us to save from oblivion the stories of ordinary people. Find your writings from the war, share this invitation with your friends, and let us know if you know about the existence of an interesting testimony to the everyday life during war”.
All interested may visit official premises of the Museum during working days, in the period from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
