Musk supports shutting down Radio Free Europe and Voice of America

United States (U.S.) billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk supported the idea of shutting down Radio Free Europe and Voice of America, a topic brought up by Richard Grenell, special adviser to Donald Trump.

The U.S. president’s special envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell, had previously stated that these media outlets are funded by U.S. taxpayers, that they are “full of extreme left-wing activists,” and that they are unnecessary relics of the past.

“Yes, shut them down. Europe is now free, except for the stifling bureaucracy. No one listens to them anymore,” Musk posted on his X platform.

He added that they are “just radical leftists talking to themselves while burning through a billion dollars of U.S. taxpayers’ money each year.”
