The President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that the Republika Srpska is oriented towards Serbia in every respect and that its capital is Belgrade. Dodik spoke again about the “peaceful departure” of Republika Srpska from BiH, stating that BiH is the problem of the survival of Serbs in those areas. “We will wait. As long as it takes, we will wait. At the end of the road, we will leave Bosnia and Herzegovina. We do not want to be in it, it is the problem of our survival here,” he said.
According to him, if it were not for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the RS would be much better and more developed and “a leader in joining the EU”.
He added that the EU wants to centralize BiH through the European path and that this will not happen. He accused the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, of trying to “make life difficult” for the Republika Srpska.
“Illegal Schmidt, insidious Schmidt. He persistently tries to make our lives miserable. Muslims in Sarajevo always want to be part of that scenario of imposing foreigners,” said Dodik.
He repeated that the authorities of the RS have given a deadline of seven days to withdraw all the decisions imposed by Schmidt, and if this does not happen, the representatives of the RS in the BiH parliament will launch an initiative to cancel the decisions of the high representative.
If such an initiative is not supported in the BiH parliament, Dodik continued, the RS will pass its own election law. He went on to say that the RS “has never had more visible friends than it has today”, stressing that he is proud to be under American sanctions.
“I believe that I did not screw up, but I am proud that I have shameful American sanctions and that I do not have to communicate with them. We will build relations with friends. I am proud of my friends,” Dodik emphasized.
He stated that his friends are Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as that he has friendly cooperation with people from Slovenia, Croatia and China.
