We are once again witnessing a large number of reactions provoked by politicians in BiH, for once again. These days, Milorad Dodik started the series, and then Bakir Izetbegovic continued. The interlocutors are convinced that politicians deliberately use an arsenal of controversial statements as a means of developing hatred among nations.
While answering the question about the seriousness of Milorad Dodik’s intentions when he talks about secession, Bakir Izetbegovic said, among other things, that he was not sure that there were no bad peoples, that is, that there were only bad leaders.
“Because he flatters a large number of people who want Balkan politics, who want raw politics. Are you talking about bad people? Voters who choose him want his arrogant behavior. That’s a little harsh. I know, but that’s the truth, ” said SDA President, Bakir Izetbegovic, a guest on FTV.
Wanting to clarify this statement later, the first man of SDA told the Serbian people and voters that they have to accept the fact that crimes were committed against their neighbors during the war.
”They have to face it. They must go through a collective catharsis and stop supporting politicians who persistently try to fight them with their neighbors,” Izetbegovic said.
However, on the other side these messages are understood exactly as the intention to deceive and belittle one people, not only by the ruling structure. Some counter-accusations further raise the temperature.
“I do not think that the Bosniak people are bad, on the contrary, they are a good and somewhat unhappy people. It did not occur to me to judge the people by looking at Bakir Izetbegovic and some of his predecessors, who were trapped in hatred towards Serbs and everything that is Serbian for centuries, ” said the chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik.
“It is a shame to insult the Serbian people and say that they are bad because Bakir enables election theft and gives the appearance of legitimacy to Milorad Dodik, this is not worse than chauvinism,” says SDS MP in the NSRS, Nebojsa Vukanovic.
The OHR also reacted to Izetbegovic’s statement, saying that there were no bad peoples, but only bad individuals, which, as it was stated, the High Representative pointed out several times in the context of denying war crimes and glorifying war criminals. Statements by political leaders, such as Izetbegovic or Dodik, have raised tensions, especially on social media. The interlocutors consider such behavior of holders of the highest positions inadmissible.
“The vocabulary is the same, only someone said the same thing a little more moderately. And it is terrible and inadmissible that even after 25 years since the end of the war, people and entire nations are being qualified here in such a way “, believes journalist Gordana Katana, BHRT writes.
