ajnadzic-meetingChairman of the Municipal Council of Centar Sarajevo, Nedzad Ajnadzic, hosted a delegation of multidisciplinary company Architecture & Planning Group – APG that was consisted of Mohamed Nabil Leilah, executive director of the office in Qatar, and Jasminka Usanovic, director of the office in Sarajevo.

On this occasion were presented major investment projects for which the municipality Centar already started preparation of project documentation.

Chairman Ajnadzic presented the plans for the development of the local community, including projects that could be interesting to international investors. Some of the projects that are presented are the reconstruction of the stadium “Asim Ferhatovic Hase” Kosevo with associated office buildings, underground garage and hotel capacities, as well as the construction of sports and recreation complex on Zlatiste with cable-car, the construction of office buildings with underground garages in Marijin Dvor in streets Franca Lehara and Kranjceviceva, the construction of sports and recreational and cultural center in the area of Hastahana, the construction of a garage in settlement Ciglane, the construction of hotel complexes, underground car parks and swimming pool in Skenderija, and the construction of retirement home near the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

“This local community is open for cooperation, and we will agree on principles on which we can work together. We have some of the projects that are ready for international public call and we are very interested in these projects to go to foreign investors as soon as possible. We will do everything to offer the possibility for cooperation on investment and we are planning to offer it through the principle of public-private partnerships or concessions, depending on investors. Regarding this, we will use the comparative advantage of the Economic council which operates within the municipality. We need investors, and investments are welcomed in the Municipality of Centar. Foreign investors will not have any issues with the municipal administration,” said Ajnadzic.

After the presentation of projects, they concluded that investors should consider investment opportunities in some of the presented projects, and that in this sense send a letter of intent to municipal mayor, which represents the basis for any kind of further cooperation.

APG was founded in Egypt in the late sixties, and it is actively present in the United Arab Emirates since 1973. APG is a leading multidisciplinary company that is fully committed to the construction industry, and provides package of services from master planning, architecture, interior design etc. It is strategically located in the Middle East and North Africa, and it operates through more than ten offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain, Doha, Riyadh, Cairo, Alexandria, Oman, Sudan, Lebanon and Qatar, with a total workforce consisted of over 500 engineers.
