The Ambassador of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) NJ.E. Rezeq Namoora visited the BiH Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in order to talk about the possibilities of engaging Palestinian investors in BiH.

Milinic informed Ambassador Namoor on the competences of the Agency as the main address for foreign investments in BiH, activities in the field of attracting and promotion of opportunities for investing in BiH, the support provided by FIPA to foreign investors in project implementation and removal of administrative obstacles in BiH with the aim of successfully completing investments.

He emphasized that all foreign investors are welcome in BiH, and that FIPA is available to Palestinian investors who would like to invest in BiH.

The Ambassador has also been informed about the status of foreign investors in BiH, opportunities to invest in key sectors of the BiH economy, and also the existing free trade and preferential agreements, which represents a great opportunity for export-oriented companies operating in BiH.

Namoora has conveyed the information that several significant Palestinian investors living in the United States (US) and are successful businessmen, want to visit BiH for talks on possible investment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry of BiH at the end of February 2018.

He also pointed out that the Palestinian delegation of businessmen visited BiH three months ago, and that they showed an interest in opening the Palestinian bank in BiH which would amount between 20 and 30 million US dollars, but the talks about it will be continued. Interest in the wood and food industry, water and juice plants, and drug production was also shown, and it was mentioned that there is a large number of Palestinian investors who are living and working successfully in Europe, America, Latin America and the Middle East countries.

The delegation of Palestinian investors will visit FIPA at the end of February 2018 with the aim of discussing possible investment opportunities in the mentioned BiH sectors, as FIPA announced.
