The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the newly appointed ambassador of the Netherlands to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hendrik Gerrit Cornelis Van den Dool, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the relations between the two countries.

Bećirović informed Ambassador Van den Dool about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the attack on the country’s constitutional order. He said that it is important to stop anti-Dayton activities with the aim of faster continuation of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and that the dangers in Bosnia and Herzegovina should not be underestimated.

As part of the inaugural visit, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to BiH Van den Dool said that the Netherlands is committed to providing support for stability and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and said that the Netherlands supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He paid special attention to the issue of Srebrenica and emphasized that the Netherlands has close cooperation with the Mothers of Srebrenica and the Potočari Memorial Center.

Bećirović and Van den Dool stated that the bilateral relations between the two countries are good and friendly, and that economic relations, considering the existing potential, should be improved.

A significant link in the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands is represented by the Bosnian diaspora. About 60,000 citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina live in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, it was announced from the Cabinet of the member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović.
