Today, another 25,000 doses of the second component of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, delivered for immunization of the population against the coronavirus, were delivered to Republika Srpska, and on that occasion, the authorities once again called on citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible and thus protect their health.

Funds for this procurement were provided by the Government of the Republika Srpska.

“This is a new delivery of vaccines from a Russian manufacturer within the implementation of the contract that the Institute of Public Health has with the wholesale companyKrajina Group. So far, including this delivery, a total of 274,300 doses of the first and second components of this type of vaccine have arrived in Srpska in this way, “the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare announced.

The new quantities of vaccines were delivered to the importer’s warehouse in Banja Luka, and after the completion of the procedures, they will be sent to health institutions throughout Srpska to continue the process of revaccination against the virus, BHRT writes.

According to the manufacturer’s instructions, revaccination with the second component of the Sputnik V vaccine can be done in the period from 21 to 90 days after vaccination with the first component.

Health care institutions in Srpska have sufficient quantities of vaccines from several producers against the coronavirus, and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Institute of Public Health once again call on citizens to, if not already, be vaccinated against the virus as soon as possible and thus protect their health.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health, 280,609 first and 198,156 second doses of coronavirus vaccines were delivered to health institutions as of August 30 this year.
