New Doses of Vaccines to arrive in Republika Srpska Entity Today

The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radovan Viskovic said that the contingent of Russian vaccines intended for the citizens of the Republika Srpska will be in Banja Luka today.

Viskovic stated that it was about 25,000 vaccines plus 1,300 for Prijedor, and that they did not arrive in Banja Luka earlier, as it was announced, because the director of the company “Krajina Group” had a death case in his family.

“The vaccines will go through the entire quality control procedure of the Institute for Public Health of Srpska and the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, and after that, they will be distributed to the citizens,” Viskovic told reporters in Banja Luka.

He expects that 80,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine will arrive at the beginning of May. When it comes to the “Covax” mechanism, Viskovic said that there are promises from that system that a larger amount of vaccines for BiH can be expected in May.
