The European Parliament announced that it had voted to confirm the composition of the new European Commission, headed by Ursula von der Leyen.
“The European Parliament today voted in favor of the new College of Commissioners who will propose EU policy for the next five years,” the European Parliament said in a statement on the X network.
370 out of 688 MEPs voted in favor of the new Commission, 282 voted “against,” and a total of 36 abstained.
According to the results, Kaja Kallas is the new EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
