New Roof Structure is Being Set Up for 1.080 Square Meter Roof of the Building of Municipality Center that Burned Down on 7 February

NA ZGRADI OPÆINE CENTAR 7. FEBRUARA IZGORJELO 1.080 KVADRATNIH METARA KROVA, POSTAVALJA SE NOVA KONSTRUKCIJAA 1.080 square meter roof and most of the ceiling of the third floor of the Municipality Center was burned down during the protests on 7 February, said the Deputy Mayor of Municipality Center Zlatko Voljevica, who is also the leader of the expert team for the monitoring of activities on the emergency rehabilitation of the building for Agency Fena.

Workers began to set up the wooden beams for the new structure of the roof by the end of February and so far almost 75 % of the work has been done, said Voljevica.

The new roof structure is finalized on the part of Alipašina Mosque and Koševo stream, and currently is working on the roof on interior side. According to the schedule of works, the complete roof structure should be set up by the end of this week.

In addition, workers continue to remove mortar from the very burnt and damaged walls. After having finished the scraping of mortar along the very damaged staircase, this is currently being done in the basement premises where the burned-out electrical cables and mechanical installations are being set-up, said Voljevica.

The fixing of electric and other equipment that are partially damaged is ongoing. Also, there are works on additional security and fire protection server rooms.
