lotoThe FB&H Government identified in a parliamentary procedure a draft law on lottery games, which could be organized on the territory of this entity by Lutrija B&H and legal persons who are registered for this activity.

It was defined that gambling can be classic lottery games, in which the amount of funds to be won is known beforehand, as well as games in the casino, slot machines in special clubs and betting on sports results and the like. The revenues from these activities are very important, because all the research shows that betting and lottery games are very popular in economically and socially tenuous societies.

The new law provides that the revenue generated from fees for gambling belong to the FB&H, and a part is apportioned to finance programs and projects of civic associations and humanitarian organizations.

The taxes on winnings are paid off at the rate of ten percent on wins above 50 BAM to 10.000 BAM, and at a rate of 15 percent on wins over 10.000 BAM. For the payment of winnings in the classic lottery games, it is organized by Lutrija B&H and guaranteed by the FB&H.
