In the Sarajevo University Clinical Center (KCUS), kidney and corneal transplants were successfully performed from cadaver-donors from the Zenica Cantonal Hospital. The postoperative course proceeds smoothly.
”As we have emphasized several times, the KCUS teams are ready for transplants every day, including weekends and holidays, but the problem is having a donor, i.e. the organ they would transplant. Our program already includes heart and liver transplantation, for which we have provided cooperation with supervisors from Clinical Center Ljubljana, prof. Dr. Ivan Knezevic, as well as an eminent expert from Turkey, Prof. Dr. Kamil Yalçın Polat,” announced KCUS.
