highwayThe construction of new 6 kilometers of the highway on the Corridor 5C, on the route Klopče – Donja Gračanica, near Zenica, will start very soon.

The Minister of Physical Planning of FB&H, Josip Martić, signed the approval for the construction of this section, which completed the last condition for continuation of the construction of new kilometers of B&H highway.

Martić stated that this is one of the most demanding sections with many bridges, viaducts and underpasses, but B&H constructors have proven that they are ready for challenges in the road construction.

“We are confident that the biggest infrastructure project in our country will bring new employment for local constructors,” said Minister Martić.

The section Zenica North – Zenica South has a total length of 10 kilometers. A subsection Klopče – Donja Gračanica, where the works should start, includes four viaducts, two tunnels and one rest place. This subsection is passing through very unfavorable terrain.

50 million EUR of funds for the construction of this section are provided by the Fund for International Development (OFID). The deadline for completion of the construction of this section is 30 months.
