On August 1st, 2024, Sarajevo International Airport recorded a significant success by serving its millionth passenger this year, the airport administration announced.
From the beginning of the year to August 1st, this airport recorded a total of 1,001,904 passengers, which means that the new million passengers were reached almost a month and a half earlier than in 2023.
The total number of transported passengers for the first seven months of 2024 is 992,142, which represents a growth of 36% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In addition to the increase in the number of passengers, Sarajevo Airport also recorded a significant increase in the number of air operations.
In the first seven months of this year, 9,312 air operations were carried out, which is 22% more compared to the same period last year, N1 writes.
