Upon the completion of the negotiations, which will take place probably this week, the public will be informed of the official information on the final decision.

‘’For now we can say that a central program in front of BBI will be organized, on Trg Djece Sarajevo with local contractors, as well as a children’s program that will consist of a play and giving out presents. Also, the city of Sarajevo will be the honorary patron this year of Sarajevo Holiday Market, whose goal is to contribute to the creation of a true festival atmosphere for the citizens of Sarajevo and for all tourists who visit Sarajevo during the New Year festivities’’, said the city administration.

Sarajevo, as the traditional organizer of the public New Year celebration, will certainly provide good entertainment and fun outdoors, together with its partners, citizens, as well as tourists who will come from the region and beyond. It is expected that tourists will come to Sarajevo for New Year celebrations, especially young people from Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia, Western Europe and the diaspora.

The spokesperson of the Tourist Board of Canton Sarajevo Asja Hadžiefendić-Mešić also said that many establishments in the city are organizing New Year programs for their guests, and hotels at the Olympic Mountains Bjelašnica, Igman and Jahorina are offering a combination of skiing and awaiting New Year’s.
